Thankful - Grateful

I have been thinking especially of late - how much I have to be thankful for. There are so many blessings in my life - and most I probably don't even realize.

Just look at the past two weeks - for a moment when there was a possibility of having to cancel my flight because my passport had not been returned to me (and thinking back now - the process of my application was actually quite short - considering I submitted everything so late). Then the harrowing Amazing Race at the airport (especially in Auckland). This to be followed up with Amazing Race part 2 after landing in Palmy.

What about the days to follow? From being assigned a great apartment with a private balcony - where so many do not have.

As I was taking a short hike out to the bridge this evening that over looks Manawatu River (I think) .. I marveled at the beautiful sights all around me.  I realized I am so blessed to be given such an amazing opportunity. Words would not be able to express my gratitude.

I pledge to do much better in this second half of my life.  To be more mindful of the many blessings that surround me. To give thanks daily for the wonders that are constantly unfolding.

Tonight before I log off and go to bed, I want - once again - to thank all of you (those reading and also those who do not follow my blog) for being in my life, for all the blessings you have given me, for making it ever so colorful. I am deeply grateful to all of you.

And to our Heavenly Father - tonite, I do not want to ask for anything but to simply give You praise for your Awesomeness! For bringing me to this point, for also giving both my mom and my sis a safe journey to UK (I am told they have landed and already reached home), for all the battles that have come our way and we have stood strong thru them all (especially thinking of the hard journey for my sis who had to be strong over these past months) .. and for so much more. I know You have been there with us and for us - and for this I am ever so THANKFUL.

Good nite to you all - may our eyes be opened to see and our hearts open to receive all the good things in our life and let our mouths be open to sing praise and give thanks for them all.

Shalom,
Syl
