The subconscious mind cannot tell the difference between what is considered "real" by most people and what is imagined. Numerous examples have been given on this. This also forms part of the underlying principle in hypnosis. It is said - when logic and imagination come into conflict, imagination wins. We see that so often in people who suffer anxiety attacks etc. Logic flies out the window when faced with all sorts of imagined fear.
How can this be helpful to us? Can we use this "fact" to our advantage? Well, I already touched on the idea of hypnosis above. And unlike popular belief, hypnosis is not about making someone quack like a duck on stage or someone to make you reveal all your darkest secrets to them. It is a way of offering a person credible/desirable suggestions that will be accepted and worked on subconsciously.
How is this related with imagination? Simple - if you can imagine it, you can be it or make it into reality. Simple as that. Interesting?
Well if you think it is - then do me a favor and drop me a line or a comment and let me know. It is more fun interacting with life people than just talking with myself (although I can totally enjoy my own company - hahaha). But having variety adds flavor to life. Don't you think?
That's all for today.
Peace,
Syl
